Notes from our Last Gen Meeting...

Please see email below from SCWC President Kathy Diebold:

Hello Ladies,

We had a wild meeting on Wednesday. Lots of things going on. So I thought I would reiterate all the opportunities we have put together for you all.

Thank you in advance for stepping up and making our organization the amazing organization that it is. Again, it is such a joy working with all of you. So much fun every time we are all together. Thank you for all that you do and for allowing me to be a part of such a dynamic group of gals.

First up is the Box of Joy. Those of you who took the boxes, please have them back to the church overflow room or call me and I will come and pick the boxes up for you. 954-591-3051. These boxes need to be turned in by this Wednesday, Nov. 27th.

Second up is Sweets with Santa. Sunday, December 8th. Volunteers are needed to work the event. Please call Sandy Barry for details - 954-803-4676

Third up is the Angel Tree. Help is needed for 2 weekends after each Mass to take the gifts from the church to the halls and separate the toys according to age groups. December 7 and 8 and December 14 and 15. Contact Betty OConnell 954-931-7951

Fourth up is the Festival of the Trees Bake Sale. We have sellers for both days of the event - YEAH. Please report to the Holy Family Center for your time slot. Bake goods can be dropped off at the Holy Family Center any time on Thursday December 12 or Friday December 13. I will be in the hall from 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. on both days to receive all of your goodies.

The sale of raffle tickets for the Progressive Dinner is taking place after the Masses on January 11 and 12.

We still need the following Masses to have workers:

1 person is needed after the 6:00 p.m Mass on Saturday, January 11

1 person is needed after the 9:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, January 12

2 people are needed after the 12:30 p.m. Mass on Sunday, January 12

Please call me if you are able to help out with these time slots. 954-591-3051

Thanks a bunch.

For the December meeting please bring gift cards to make a wreath for a needy family in our parish.

We will be signing Christmas Cards for the Vets.

(PS. We will not be doing the Cookie Exchange at our Dec. meeting this year since we are asking for baked goods for the Festival of Trees.)

And those of you who still have yet to turn in your donation for Father Michael's Vestments, please bring that with you to the next meeting.

Lots of hugs to everyone. Have a wonderful, belly filled Thanksgiving.
