Be sure to register for the Out of the Darkness Walk on Nov 11!

A note from Lisa Cucchi:

Join Me in Supporting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in honor of my husband Danny.

My husband, Dan Cucchi, suffered from PTSD, and suffered in silence. He was a police officer and detective for 29 years. On September 15th, 2015, he died by suicide. Across the country, an average of 436 law enforcement officers have taken their lives each year since 2004, according to the National Police Suicide Foundation. I won't remain silent and let the stigma keep me from helping others who might be suffering in silence. I hope to encourage others to seek help. Dan was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, godfather, brother-in-law, son-in-law, police officer, friend, etc. (the list can go on and on forever) Everyone loves, "Dan the Man", "The Cooch", "Ice Ice Cucchi", "Father Dan"! He touched so many people in a positive way. At his funeral I heard so many stories of how Dan postively impacted their lives. I want something good and positive to come from his death. I plan to keep his memory alive and to help others in any way possible.

Please help others suffering in silence to have the courage to seek help. You can make a donation on my page in honor of Dan, or become a member of our team "The Cucchinators". You can walk or be a virtual walker on our team in honor of Dan. The walk will be at Nova Southeastern University in Davie on November 11th. Check-in/Registration begins at 8:00 AM. The walk begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 11:15 AM. I hope you can join our team, "The Cucchinators" or make a donation.
