Join Us In Support of our SCWC Sister Lisa Cucchi This Weekend

After battling cancer, enduring many surgeries and spending several months in the hospital, Lisa's father, Carl, went home to Our Lord last Sunday. As many of you know, our sweet Lisa lost her husband Danny just two years ago to suicide, making this loss extremely hard for her and the family. Please join us as we support this family who has gone through so much in such a short amount of time, by keeping them all in your prayers and if you are able, by attending Carl's funeral mass, which will take place at St. Coleman's this Saturday, 11/11 at 2:00 pm. SCWC ladies will be gathering in the back of the church around 1:45 and will be wearing pink, so she can see us and know we stand with her during this very difficult time.

Also, as many of you know, Dan Cucchi, the beloved husband of our Lisa, died by suicide two years ago. Since then, Lisa has been determined to make something positive come out of his death by raising awareness of the prevalence of mental illness and in helping those who may be suffering from PTSD or other debilitating mental disorders to get the support they need. To do this, she has walked each year to support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). The walk is taking place this Sunday, November 12th at Nova Southeastern University in Davie. Check-in/Registration begins at 8:00 AM. The walk begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 11:15 AM. If you would like to support her and this very important cause by walking, making a donation, or both, please click here for a direct link to the "Cucchinators" Web Page to get more info and to register: https://afsp.donordrive.com/team/151360
