You don't have to go to Washington to March for Life!!!

The 44th Annual March for Life is taking place in Washington, DC tomorrow, Friday, January 27, 2017!!!!!

As Catholics, we believe "Human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception." (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2270).

This is such an important cause - over 55 million unborn babies have lost their lives to abortion since Roe v Wade...

Much controversy about this ruling has taken place with many pro-choice people advocating that this is a women's rights issue, speaking slogans like "my body, my choice." However, this position does not acknowledge a very important truth: a developing, unborn child's body is not one and the same as the mother's body - rather, it is a completely separate body within a woman's body, whose creation was approved by God and entrusted to the woman for its safety and care until it is finished growing and able to survive on its own. The proof is in the DNA - from the moment of conception when the cells begin splitting, the cells of the child become genetically distinct from the cells of the mother, with their own unique DNA that is totally different from the mother's DNA. Just because a fetus cannot survive on its own or march and wave signs and demand protection of their right to life, does not mean it does not have a right to have time to grow to the point when it can. If these unborn children were able to have a voice on this issue, they would certainly not choose death. Yet this is the fate of many of our helpless brothers and sisters..... They have no choice about their fate... unless we get out there and give them a voice.

This is why these walks matter and this is why we should support pro life every way you can - through walks, donations, volunteering, etc. With your efforts and God's blessing over your perseverance for the cause, millions of lives can be saved .... and given a chance to live the life God intended for them.

If you and people you know are planning on walking in the DC walk - YOU GO GIRLS - GOOD FOR YOU!!! May the voices of all the unborn be heard!!!

For those of you want to walk for this cause but could not make it to DC, there will be a walk in Miami this Saturday:

January 28, 2017

9:00 am - 12:00pm

(Mass at 9:30/Walk will take place afterwards)

Saint John Vianney College Seminary

2900 SW 87th Avenue

Miami, FL 33165

If you cannot walk, please join with us in prayer during these walks. Please pray for all the walkers, that they may be safe as they peacefully represent the voices of these precious lives; pray for women in general, that they may come to understand what an amazing blessing and honor it is that we as women, have been created and designated by God to participate in this miraculous process of creation with Him; pray for newly pregnant women, that we as women and as a society, may support one another in every way possible to promote the preservation of life; and pray for the unborn, that women may find the courage needed to nurture and protect them, no matter what the circumstances of the pregnancy, so each life allowed by God to be created may be given the opportunity to grow into the beautiful beings God intended them to be. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
