Palm Sunday April 5: Drive Thru at St. Coleman's from 9:00am - 11:30am to Get Your Palms!!!

Ladies, please see message below from St Coleman Office Manager Marty Navarro: Dear Ladies, I hope that you are all safe and well. After much discussion, Fr. Michael and the office staff have decided to hand out blessed palms on Palm Sunday (April 5). We are working with the BSO to make sure we do it with the least amount of risk to our parishioners and to us. We will make sure everyone stays in their cars and drive through the parking lot, where we will be standing and handing the palms to you. We will be outfitted with gloves and masks. This is certainly a very different way from the way we handed them out last year, but we wanted to connect in some way with our parishioners. We truly

"Spiritual Communion" a Church Tradition for Times when We Can't Attend Mass.....

While scouring multiple Catholic websites for ideas about how to approach the cancellation of Mass, I came across the following information, which I want to share with you in hopes that it will inspire you to grow your relationship with Christ during our "walk in the wilderness"...... Getting out of the Wilderness Catholics across the world are experiencing an unexpected and unfortunate "fast" from the Eucharist, due to the coronavirus. This inability to receive Sacramental Holy Communion has become an unimaginable Lenten penance. As Pope John Paul II explained in his encyclical, Ecclesia de Eucharistia: "unlike any other sacrament, the mystery [of communion] is so perfect that it brings us

Cancelled Event: St. Patricks Day Parade/Knights of Columbus

Dear Ladies, the City of Fort Lauderdale has cancelled the St. Patricks Day Parade due to concerns related to the coronavirus outbreak. Thank you for your interest and hopefully with God's will, this coronavirus business will come to an end, soon!!!

Want to be in a Parade this Weekend? The Knights of Columbus have invited us to join them!!

Hi Ladies, The Knights of Columbus have reached out to see if any of the women, friends, family and children from the SCWC would like to join them on their float or walk in the St Patrick's Parade downtown Ft. Lauderdale this Saturday, March 14. Of course we must be dressed in green and ready to party. They are #7 in line for the parade right after the Notre Dame float, so we need to meet downtown Ft Lauderdale at 10:30 am on Las Olas east of US 1. Last year they were further back in the parade and were done by 1:30ish. If you're interested in participating, call or email Kathy Diebold directly at 954-591-3051 or auntwhezer@aol.com to sign up and discuss logistics of getting down there.
