MINISTRY PURPOSE

The purpose of this ministry is to deepen our faith and enjoy fellowship by reading and discussing inspiring and thought provoking literature!

DESCRIPTION

Once a year in the fall, the Book Club Chairperson will select one or two books to make available to the SCWC membership to read.  Members read the books during the SCWC year and come together to talk about the books and spend time learning together through meaningful dialogue about what we read.

Some Books we have read:

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT BOOKS ARE OFFERED, WHERE DO I GET THEM AND HOW MUCH ARE THEY?

The Book Club Chairperson will announce the book titles at the first SCWC General Meeting, and will mention the titles at subsequent General Meetings. Books may be made available to members at the first General meeting and upon request throughout the year.  The cost per book is usually around $10.  If you prefer to purchase your book online for your Kindle or e-Reader, you may do that, too.

WHEN DOES THE CLUB MEET?

Members reading the books will meet during General Meetings or other times specified by the Book Club Chairperson. Some of our ladies like to also meet on their own at each other's homes or at a local eatery to expand on the social experience.

BOOK CLUB

to multiply the ways in which he exists, to make his life full, significant and interesting."
