FAQ'S
What do Greeters Look Like?
Greeters look like YOU!!!!
They dress well and are always cheerful, wearing a warm and welcoming smile.
Little Known Fact...
Greeters are typically members of the SCWC, but we sometimes are fortunate to have their husbands assist with greeting as well!
When Should Greeters be Available?
Greeters need to arrive 30 minutes before mass (no later) so you can greet people as they arrive. (Obviously if you come later than that, you won't have anyone to greet because everyone will already be in the church! Ha! Ha!)
What Exactly do Greeters Do?
Being a Greeter is EASY!!! Here is a list of the typical duties of a Greeter:
- Greeters stand at the front door of the church and greet and welcome the parishioners as they arrive for mass.
- Greeters assist parishioners that are disabled by helping them (if needed) to the special seats we have for them in the rear of the church.
- Greeters answer any questions parishioners and mass attendees may have.
- Greeters say goodbye after the end of mass, and hand out the bulletins and brown bags (on Brown Bag Sunday).
THAT'S IT!!! BEING A GREETER IS EASY AND VERY REWARDING!
"When you hug someone sincerely, you share three things;
WARMTH, SMILES AND LOVE.
Tell me, what else brings greater joy than these?
To Be Loved, The Warmth from a Dear One
and...A WELCOMING or FRIENDLY SMILE!"
