COMMISSION PURPOSE:
The purpose of this Commission is to continue fellowship after Sunday morning masses with family, friends and other parishioners in a congenial atmosphere while enjoying tasty donuts and coffee!
HOW WE DO IT:
It's actually quite simple.
Once a month, we creatively arrange the donuts on large platters on the table, open the doors so the wonderful aroma of coffee fills the air, and the people will come!!
ONGOING VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES!!!
This is such a fun, easy, and truly enjoyable volunteer opportunity, everyone should do it at least once! Anyone wishing to donate your time and talent to this worthy Ministry to bring us all closer together in fellowship in supporting our church and Community, please contact the chairperson(s) above.
When do you need volunteers?:
We need volunteers for all our events, which are held monthly in the Parish Hall. Specific dates are listed in the Events Tab above, under the heading, "St. Coleman's Coffee and Donuts".
What kind of time committment am I looking at if I volunteer?
We ask volunteers to work for a one hour shift. Of course you can volunteer for multiple shifts, but one hour is great! For convenience, many people choose to volunteer for the shift(s) before or after the mass they regularly attend.
How many volunteers do you need each month and when are the shifts?
A minimum of 8 people (total) are needed, with at least 2 people for each shift.
Available Shifts:
SHIFT 1: 7:00 am till 8:00 am
SHIFT 2: 8:00 am till 9:00 am
SHIFT 3: 9:00 am till 10:00 am
SHIFT 4: 10:00 am till 11:00 am (clean up time - may get out earlier)
WHY DONUTS?
Donuts are the perfect food for our fellowship gathering because, just like a wedding band, they are an endless and timeless circle, suggesting everlasting love and a repetitive unbroken wholeness in time and space. As we share these circles of love in the Parish Hall after celebrating the Holy Mass, we strengthen our bonds between one another and become unified in our wholeness as a parish. Of course, there is also that undeniably yummy taste that we so enjoy, too..........
Donuts! Oh, Donuts!

Gregory K.
Donuts! Oh, donuts! Fried circles of yum.
You're food that I simply adore.
You’re sure not nutritious, but you’re so delicious
I’m always left wishing for more.
I love you with frosting or covered in sprinkles.
I swoon for you, sweet, sugar raised!
When you’re filled with jelly, you warm up my belly...
While still leaving room for a glazed.
I’ll dip you in coffee or dunk you in milk.
I’ll eat you for breakfast or brunch.
I get so impassioned for simple old-fashioned
That sometimes I make them my lunch.
Donuts! Oh, donuts! Definers of yum.
You perfect fried circles of dough.
Although you’re caloric, you leave me euphoric...
So give me a dozen to go!
